The Betty’s Parkway Story

Betty’s Parkway Restaurant started out as Parkway Inn around 1986 at the corner of Nashville Highway and Old Bear Creek Pike. Betty started Betty's Parkway Restaurant, as you know it now, in 1987.

Betty's Parkway has built a remarkable reputation for itself since Betty opened its doors in 1987. She had experience in the kitchen, which she put to good use in creating her secret marinade recipe, now known as Betty's Best!

Betty set herself apart by offering something many other restaurants didn't have on their menu at the time; a perfectly cut 16-ounce rib eye steak marinated in Betty's Best and cooked to perfection. Betty's Parkway Restaurant has been a staple in the community ever since, providing visitors with an amazing meal and lifetime memories!

Betty, the proud founder of Betty's Parkway Restaurant, passed away peacefully in July of 1989.

Her legacy lives on through Tim Duncan - her only child and heir to the family business. Tim had previously worked in construction but decided to continue the business. As a result, through perseverance, Bettys Parkway Restaurant continues to grow today.

For years people have been trying to figure out what makes our steaks so tender and delicious. The secret is a recipe left behind by Betty herself.

Betty's Best is an exclusive marinade that tenderizes any meat and packs a punch of flavor for customers to savor.

This secret recipe not only tenderizes any meat but also packs an unforgettable flavor that keeps customers coming back for more.

We have had friends, and customers use "Betty's Best" on deer, chicken, pork chops, rattlesnakes, hamburgers, and of course, steak. All with the same results! They all agreed that of all the various types of meat tested, it was more tender and had a better flavor compared to its un-marinated counterpart.
